Another in our line of "our culture is different to your culture"...

The Twelve Days of Christmas, in the UK, end on January 6th (Epiphany) - in the old days Twelfth Night, as it was called, was a bigger festival than Christmas Day, although the celebrations started at Christmas Day and built up over the twelve days to the big one on Twelfth Night

So in the US the twelve days of Christmas end on Christmas Day?

No, Cathi, I'm sure you are right. The days of Christmas begin on Christmas- I just needed to get myself in the Christmas swing of things- so I started "early". I don't think anyone celebrates over 12 days in the US, however. We always took our decorations down Jan 1st.
